Nmap XML Viewer & Diff
Turn an existing Nmap XML export into a readable inventory of observed hosts, ports and services. Compare a baseline capture without uploading either file or initiating network scans.
About Nmap XML viewerFeatures & how to use
Open and compare saved Nmap XML locally. Filter hosts, ports and services, review changed observations and export reports without running scans.
What it can do
- Inspect host addresses, hostnames, port states, service details and script output as inert text.
- Compare captures by host address and protocol/port, with added, missing and changed observations.
- Filter results and export JSON or port CSV. A missing observation is not proof that a port closed; scan coverage and configuration matter.
- Each XML capture is limited to 10 MiB and 25,000 combined hosts and ports. External entities and active XML declarations are rejected.
How to use it
- Open or paste the current Nmap XML export.
- Optionally add an older XML capture, then choose Inspect / compare.
- Review scan context and filtered results before exporting the report.
